HELMUT EPPICH
Creator/Writer/Artist of ASTRO LEGION
and more...
As a youngster I was kidnapped, thrown back,
and dropped on my head by a UFO. For some
reason I developed a thing for science fiction
movies and comics. Spy, western, and super hero
adventure stuff were really cool. Old
television spy shows (The Wild Wild West, Man
From Uncle, Avengers, The  Saint, Dangerman,
The Prisoner) and landmark comic runs with hot
artists  (Neal Adams, John Bryne, Mike Kaluta,
Berni Wrightson to name a few) added  fuel to the
fire. Science fiction was the biggie. First came
Voyage To The  Bottom of The Sea, then Star
Trek. 2001: A Space Odyssey followed by Star  
Wars. Other movies and series came in between.
Science fiction inspired a  basic fascination with
astronomy and a love of famous old school
illustrators  and their works.

Before involving with Enemi/Anthi I worked briefly
for Pacific, Blackthorne, and Harris Comics.
Enjoying the superhero genre of comic illustration,
I'd like to see a comeback of westerns, war,
crime, and especially science fiction comics,
showcasing new, old, and contemporary artists
and writers. The more the merrier.

I have always drawn since I was young. I
have to admit, I came from the old school.
John Buscema, Neil Adams, David
Mazzucchelli, John Romita Sr., just to name
a few, were my influences. Even now I'm
picking up from resent guys like Lee Weeks,
Ron Garney, Mike Deadaro, Joey Quesada,
I could go on...

I attended the high school of Art & Design,
then continued my studies at the School of
Visual Arts, where I earned a bachelors of
fine art. After my education, I knew that art
was the career I wanted, and comics was
the area I was going to do it in. My plan is
to continue working on Slay-Cat & Bold and
hope to continue working in the comic field
for as long as possible.

The Drago Minery is attacked by a Braxian war fleet to divert the Starship ACHILLES, under command of Captain Nathaniel
Forrester, from defending an inauguration ceremony on Vanguard five involving the well-established space Alliance, which will
unite two space faring cultures. The ACHILLES must stop Braxian Admiral Gideon Blaine's war fleet from destroying the
inauguration ceremony.
The Starship ACHILLES finds out through the death of Nathaniel Forrester's ex fiancée, Rosetta Brenner, who was abducted then
killed before Forrester’s eyes, and Rosetta Brenner’s Drago’s minery Braxian Admiral Blane had destroyed, that a bomb has been
planted at the Vanguard Five Astro Legion Outpost Command Inauguration Ceremonies. Both Forrester and Brenner have a
military past with Blaine. Get Blane once and for all.
After the ACHILLES alert the Astro Legion fleet, which engages the Braxian war fleet, Captain Forrester reaches the bomb just
before it explodes, deactivating it. Forrester hunts down and confronts Braxian Admiral Blaine in a final, brutal, personal, knock up
drag down fight, disposing once and for all a formidable foe of The Astro Legion and existing himself of a personal demon being
decorated as with honors as a military hero…

Archaeologist, Chris Rammos is in Egypt in search of the "Egyptian Moon Stone" which is said to wield mysterious powers.
He finds it in an old tomb. When Chris holds the stone it glows into a strong light and starts cracking in Chris' hands. He falls
to the floor, everything goes black. The stone has disintegrated in Chris' hands and has human self at will. When he returns
to his home in N.Y.C. He tells his girlfriend what has happened to him and decides to fight evil. MANE is a great comic-book
character. The possibilities with this character are endless. Please pick up a copy of this book and you won't be disappointed.

VENGEANCE #1

Vengeance is an idea John Kotsis had a few years back. He wanted to do something different, a super-hero book, but with a more realistic
feel. Vengeance is intended to be an on-going series, and to be the flagship title of “Enemi Entertainment, Inc.”
Vengeance is about a couple, John and Monica who are very much in love. After a long night out with friends, they find themselves on
Roosevelt Island to enjoy the view. Monica stumbles on a peculiar stone in the ground with a “V” symbol on it. Suddenly they are gunned down
by a mysterious man from the shadow. In short, John is brought back to life from the stone, and gains mysterious powers.

Monica passes, but she is later on brought back by the books villain “Krojan”. She is brought back as opposite of herself, evil, sinister. Krojan
has convinced her that what has happened to her is all John’s doing. The story goes on as Monica confronts John. He is shocked that she’s
alive, but more amazed at her transformation. John tries to deal with his new found powers. He’s confronted by Krojan’s henchmen such as
Sultress, Breed, Nirvana, and in later issues Batcus, and Laquator. Eventually, Monica realizes Krojan’s deception and how she has hurt John,
and... We can not tell you every detail and spoil the fun, can we… hehe

There is a new drug out in the streets of New York called the “HYPE”. This drug is very strong, and gives a person an ultimate high.
One can easily get addicted to it. But it can also, be deadly. The “HYPE” is a poison. The “HYPE” enters into ones subconscious part of
the mind, and brings it out to the conscious level. But there is another side to this drug, the drug attacks the user’s DNA. There are a
few people out there with a very odd or different kind of DNA pattern. The “HYPE” affects those people in a different way, altering, or
even changing, or mutating the use into whatever it finds in the person’s subconscious mind. Sometimes it is temporary, sometimes it’s
permanent.
The “HYPE” was created by mistake. The creation of a new medicine to heal, gone wrong. The FDA thought too  much time and money
was being spent on the project, the whole project was scrapped. Dr. Corrigan, the creator of the drug could not except the idea of his
work being washed down the drain, so he found another market to hit, the black market. Now, big time drug dealers and organized
crime groups have their hands on it, and they are not letting it go. As long as there is an open market for the “HYPE”, Dr. Core
(ultimate villain) is getting richer and more devious. Devious, yes, because he is affected by the drug, making him one of the most evil
master minds living today. The “HYPE” is very dangerous drug, it has to be taken out of the streets!

This is a rare gem, one of the first books Enemi ever printed. Mane One-Shot was intended to see how fans
would react with the character. The reaction was pleasing and Enemi decided to go ahead with the series
(see Mane #1 – Kotsis/Man) In this issue Mane takes on SKULL HARVESTER from the GOTHIC LEGION.
