The Haven Distributors catalog, published by Enemi Entertainment, gauged the interest in a comic book distribution alternative by assembling a promotional edition, which was mailed to 2,300 comic shop retailers and distributed at conventions during April and May 2008. It generated an overwhelmingly positive reaction. The test- marketing showed that there is great interest in a comprehensive source through which a diverse roster of independent publishers can sell titles to a large audience. The collective response confirmed our belief that this audience is always looking for a new comic book or graphic novel to entertain them when the title brings something fresh to the medium, while delivering the familiar thrills, laughs, and solid storytelling that defined the medium. The Enemi/Haven partnership was initiated to provide independent publishers an easy, cost-effective way to list, advertise, and distribute their titles to retailers and the fans that support them. Since our belief in the success of our business model was confirmed, we are officially announcing that the full catalog will mail shortly and contain competitive msrp discounts for retailers, in addition to a large number of publishers and titles not seen in the promotional edition. Among the high-profile additions to the full catalog are Dabel Brothers Publishing and the Suicide Girls. The debut edition will be a minimum of three times the size of the promotional edition, perfect- bound, and printed in full color. Enemi Entertainment’s mission statement is, “Where Promoting Diversity is Our Business.” We will always do our best to serve the needs of our audience by carrying titles and related products that remain true to that mission statement, and which bring enjoyment to those who buy them. We are always open to how we can do our job better, so please keep in touch with us. You're our audience, and we serve you. The debut Haven Distributors Catalog will include listings by Arcana Studio, BloodFire Studios, Platinum Studios, Dabel Brothers Publishing, Arzynart, Monarch Comics, and Saturna Ink, which are just a few of the many cutting edge independent publishers in the catalog, with new companies being added regularly. We plan to distribute outside the box, not only offering our catalog to direct sales comic book stores, but also to other retailers. Our goal is to reach as many participating outlets as possible to make finding independent titles easy, as well as affordable to both retailers and fans.

This is one of the first reviews we received on Vengeance #1, by Paul Dale Roberts at Jazma Online featuring it
here. We have also included below John Kotsis (CEO Enemi Entertainment) interview with Paul Dale Roberts on
2005Comments:
A couple on Roosevelt Island near New York City enjoy the pleasure of each other's company. Monica discusses with
John about their fun night together. Monica discusses getting married, starting a family and John is feeling strange,
he feels like he is being watched. John and Monica come up to a strange symbol on a slab of stone, and there is a
weird guy with a gun. Monica is shot in the head and John is completely freaked out over the situation. A sinister
being has seen that the warrior has risen and wants this warrior to take on the side of evil! John is being stalked at
Monica's funeral by a detective. Later on John learns he has some unusual powers, large blades shoot out from his
arms. John also gets a cool costume that is very dark and consumes his body. A costume that seems alive! John
goes out and plays vigilante against some hoods who are terrorizing some girl.
John takes out the bad guys quickly and learns about another new power, he has the power of flight. John goes
back to Roosevelt Island, he looks for clues to the murder of Monica. John realizes that the mysterious symbol on a
stone gave him his extraordinary powers, he now seeks answers. He wants to know who the gun man was, his
role in this whole strange ordeal. John becomes an exceptional superhero and the most shocking part of this story
is that Monica arises from the dead, to become something very terrifying, something very evil!! And wait until you
see what Monica looks like now! Wow! Also Monica has some scary friends!
John Kotsis created some unique villains and a very unique superhero! I absolutely enjoyed the artwork. John
Kotsis definitely delivers the goods with Vengeance #1, I believe that this story will gather a major fanbase! Count
me in!Interview with John Kotsis, Creator of Vengeance #1 by Enemi Entertainment.
Q: Tell us something personal about yourself, your family life, schools you went to, maybe something about your
first?
A: My first girlfriend ain't worth talking about. As far as schools, forget that too. My family life is a little wild and
goofy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. As far as something personal about myself I am a big kid.
Q: What was the first comic book you ever read?
A: Superman.
Q: How did you come up with Vengeance #1? Can you please brief the readers on what Vengeance is all about?
A: Vengeance is just a combination of life's experiences, done in a fantasy way. For example: our lives are filled with
happiness, sorrow, death, and choices we have to make. Vengeance is all about this.
Q: How can someone order Vengeance?
A: At the moment any orders for Vengeance can be placed at kotsis75@yahoo.com*. Soon, we will fulfill our
distribution deal and merchandise can be bought at convention shows.
Q: Tell us about the characters in Vengeance.
A: The characters in Vengeance even though they are presented in a fantasy format are meant to have certain
realism, for example: the main character John Rollins, who struggles with the death and reincarnation of his fiance.
Billy, who is tormented by his own personal life and the monster he's become. Monica the confused soul, who is torn
between her feelings and beliefs.
Q: What was the inspiration for Vengeance?
A: Part fantasy, part real life experience and just taking a different direction in this industry.
Q: How can someone contact you?
A: At the moment write us at kotsis75@yahoo.com*
Q: What is your website address?
A: It's in the works.
Q: What other future plans are there for Vengeance?
A: I'll just keep you guessing.
Q: What are your hobbies and recreational activities?
A: Music and beer.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring and why?
A: Music, beer, and I guess my wife.
Q: Who are your 3 fictional heroes and your 3 real life heroes?
A: As far as fictional heroes none, to draw belief from something that does not exist does not attract me. What
attracts me more is the real heroes in this life, the ones that have nothing and keep going.
Q: What TV shows, movies, cartoons do you like?
A: Seinfeld, anything music TV, Simpsons, and that's all coz everything else sucks.
Q: What books do you enjoy?
A: Comic books.
Q: What comic books do you read now?
A: Not that many lately. I've lost interest in many titles due to the fact of the direction they're taking. Ever since I
started Enemi, that has become my main attraction.
Q: What gives you your creative energy?
A: My passion to be a part of this industry (and a twelve pack doesn't hurt either).
Q: If Vengeance becomes a movie, who would play the character parts and why?
A: We'll figure that out in a couple of years from now.
Q: This ends the interview, any encouraging words of wisdom?
A: Buy Vengeance and anything Enemi Entertainment produces (just kidding). Buy whatever you want just don't
buy it because it's cool, buy it because you actually like it.
Kotsis OUT! And please cancel the freaking OC.

The Revolution Has Begun!
APRIL 2009
A New Source For COMICS!
Haven Distributors, in conjunction with Enemi Entertainment, is pleased to announce the debut of a
new catalog. COMICS! is your new source for, well, comics... and graphic novels, magazines, art books,
toys, cards, posters, DVDs, sound tracks, audio dramas, and anything else a talented independent
spirit has created and wants to offer at wholesale to retailers of comic related merchandise.
COMICS! also brings fans a magazine section filled with feature articles and reviews by an array of
contributing writers. The cover story in the debut May issue will be an interview with Neal Adams,
coinciding with the addition of Continuity Studios to Haven's lineup.
“We're giving independent creators the kind of showcase they deserve,” said John Kotsis, President of
Enemi Entertainment, publisher of the magazine. “COMICS! is a catalog that fans can pick up and
actually enjoy reading. They'll get to learn about a lot of great books that they'd love, but may not
have even seen before, at least not in this light.”
Lance Stahlberg, Director of Haven Distributors added, “This whole industry has been conditioned to
think that there is only one way to get comics into stores. Too many fans think there are only like eight
or so publishers who produce quality work. That mentality needs to change if we have any hope of
growing the direct market's customer base.”
COMICS! lists advance orders as well as a wide range of current and back issues already in stock and
ready to ship. It features a wide sample of Haven's active publishers with focus on their newest titles
and best selling reprints. Wholesale customers can browse the thousands of other titles available by
logging into Haven's online ordering system at www.havendistro.com.
Every store that signs up for an account with Haven Distributors (1-877-HAVEN-50) will get one copy
free and will be able to order more at wholesale for their customers. Fans are encouraged to buy their
copy from their local comics shop, though they can order COMICS! at retail plus shipping from the
publisher at www.enemi-entertainment.com
…
HAVEN DISTRIBUTORS launched in February, 2008 with the acquisition and rebranding of Cold Cut. Now
operating out of Skokie, IL, Haven fills orders for stores across North America, Europe and Asia. They
focus on independent publishers and producers of comics related merchandise at competitive wholesale
prices with special attention to reorder fulfillment.
ENEMI ENTERTAINMENT officially began in 2005. Its sole purpose at the time was to be an independent
comic-book publisher. It was started by Mr. John Kotsis to be collaborated as a joint effort with Mr.
Konstantine Bakalis. Mr. Kotsis then proceeded into contacting independent publishers to form a
catalog for retailers nationwide. Haven Distributors and Enemi joined forces in late 2008 and now with
Haven’s inventory and Enemi publishing the newly titled catalog COMICS! we hope to bring to everyone
a new business model that will attract more publishers and retailers nationwide.
An Open Letter from John Kotsis
The following expresses the opinion of Mr. John Kotsis (CEO of Enemi Entertainment, Inc.) It does not
express nor represents those of Enemi Entertainment or Haven Distributors.
In recent days, we all have come to learn that Disney has acquired Marvel Entertainment. What does that
mean for Marvel’s future as well as the industry? It is going to be a wait and see scenario. Did Disney buy
Marvel because of its potential, or are they planning in the near future to get rid of it as a whole?
Whatever the case maybe, I see this as an opportunity for all independents. As for the time being we do not
know how Disney will handle Marvel. Will they change the characters to Disney-friendly, will they raise
prices, eliminate a vast majority of titles? We as independent publishers should capitalize on this.
I ask all of you to push and promote your products to the fullest extreme. Call retailers, get book sinning
(s), attend conventions, advertise ad much as possible. If your book(s) is/are carried by Haven let
everyone know (e.g. put banners on your sites, announce on blogs, send newsletters, etc.). I am really
honored to be partnered with Haven. Lance and his staff truly care for the products they carry. They are
retailer-friendly and provide a true professional service.
Diamond changed things for independents a while back ago, but you do have the COMICS! catalog and
Haven to fall back on. As with any business, it is always a learning process. Enemi and Haven are
committed to handling your product(s)/business in an effortless and professional manner. Enemi will soon
be forming a subsidiary program, where you can feature your company name and product(s) under the
Enemi logo.
Glazing through the COMICS! catalog I see so much potential. So many of you out there truly have fantastic
products. We need to open the retailer’s eyes as well as the comic book fans. Cross-promotions can help
too. Go to your sites, blogs, etc. and state that your titles can be found in the COMICS! catalog and it is
distributed by Haven, it could generate more sales.
The COMICS! catalog is a great way to showcase your titles to over 2,300 retailers nationwide. We offer
professional settings for your company and product(s) as well as reasonable advertising rates, combine
that with Haven’s outstanding distribution services, you can’t go wrong.
In closing, I encourage all of you to move forward. Together we all can benefit from recent events… a call
to arms! If you will, who’s with me?
Thank you
John Kotsis
